It is likely that your grades are strong and you’ve engaged in work experience or other relevant activities - but now it’s time to stand out in a crowd of similar applicants! A strong personal statement is your opportunity to show your suitability for the course and the career, and share a little bit of your personality. Finding your strengths is my speciality and I can help you write and edit your personal statement for your UCAS application.

I can guide you through the process using my experience from being on both sides - as a student applying myself and as an interviewer involved in reviewing personal statements.

I have 2 services available:

• Review service: send me a draft and I will comment and edit, line by line. You will be sent back a detailed feedback form which can be followed up with a video call or further emails.

• Get going: for those who are struggling to get the ball rolling, a brainstorming session tailored to your choice of universities. Help with the best content and structure to show your strengths. Assistance with reflecting on experiences you’ve had in a way that can impress the reader. This can then be followed with as many review sessions as required to create a memorable personal statement.

Rates: £45 for 1-1 45-minute session. £80 when 2 sessions are booked at once.

My rates reflect my experience in the field - from a personal perspective, from my position reviewing applications in paid employment whilst at university, and from my expertise as a doctor currently working in the NHS.
